I Gusti Ayu Diah Hendiari

An alumna of the Aquatic Resource Management Study Program, Faculty of Marine and Fisheries, Udayana University class of 2016.

Currently, the woman affectionately called Diah works as a Civil Servant (PNS) at the Department of Marine Affairs and Fisheries of Bali Province. Amidst her busy official duties, she is spreading her wings to gain knowledge by pursuing a master's degree in the Land of the Rising Sun, Japan, specifically at the School of Marine Biosciences, Kitasato University through the prestigious Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho: MEXT) Scholarship.

Enthusiasm & Academic Support

During her studies at MSP FKP Unud, Diah felt very excited. The learning process was very enjoyable, and lectures often felt like recreation. This was fully supported by the teaching staff who were very proactive in motivating their students. She distinctly remembers a lecturer's message stating: "Marine and fisheries is one of the important sectors in Indonesia, there are many opportunities, it's just that many are unaware."

International Collaboration

A valuable experience was gained when Diah participated in the Marine Biology Short Course Program in collaboration with Kwansei Gakuin University, Japan. This short yet intensive activity, which was held in Bali at the time, successfully broadened her horizons and ignited Diah's spirit to continue her higher education in Japan.

Professional Career & Further Studies

The messages and opportunities from her college days have borne sweet fruit. Diah has now successfully built a career as a civil servant (PNS) within the Bali Provincial Government. Not only that, her dedication to continuously learning brought her to Japan to pursue a Master's degree at Kitasato University with a full scholarship from the Japanese Government.
